So now I just have the EVAP monitor which I don't really need to have ready for a sticker, but it will probably go ready overnight after the car sits at least 8 hours. This has now happened with the stock cats I haven't replaced yet, no O2 spacers, the smallest pulley I've installed, the 3.125", and the rest of the combo that had me at 608 rwhp. im having issues trying to get my car though emissions. i havent brought it in yet because my code reader of awesomeness is telling me the catylist monitor and the evap monitor are not ready and they wont ready before a check engine appears for p0440 and sometimes p0420. this is on a 1998 outback...When I went in the Evap And O sensors were not ready. Since then I have driven the GM Drive Cycle I've found online. I have a cobb stage 1+ cold air intake and 93 octane map. No other mods. I reset the computer, and luckily the new cat cured the P0420 code. OP good luck, if you need anymore information on the EVAP system I have it all. If you can drop the tank down a little and check to see if any hoses are kinked that'd be the way to go. I'm really surprised that you don't have a cel. Mazda's pretty crazy about EVAP. Also, if you're local to a dealer. Have them run a EVAP test through ids.
